This page deletes your Fur Baby Social account and the data attached to it. Fur Baby Social is operated by Xanadu App Development LLC. It works whether or not you still have the app installed.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently erases your profile and login, your pet profiles and their photos, your posts and their photos and videos, your comments, your contest entries and votes, your event RSVPs and submissions, your follows, blocks, and mutes, and your message conversations — including the other participant's copy of those threads. Uploaded files are removed from storage as part of the same operation.
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore an account afterwards.
What is kept, and why
Three narrow things survive deletion, none of which identify you publicly:
- Evidence attached to a moderation report. If one of your messages or posts was reported, the snapshot kept with that report is retained for as long as the report record is, so that safety decisions remain reviewable.
- De-identified activity counts.Records such as "a recommendation card was tapped" remain for aggregate reporting, but the link to your account is severed at deletion.
- Records the law requires us to keep — most importantly material connected to a child-safety report, where preservation and reporting duties apply. See our Child Safety Standards.
How to delete your account
Option 1 — do it yourself, immediately. Sign in and you will be returned to this page with a delete button. This is the fastest route and needs no help from us. You can also delete from Profile → Settings → Delete account inside the app.
Option 2 — ask us to do it. If you cannot sign in — for example you no longer have access to the email address on the account — email support@furbaby.social from the address on your account, or tell us enough to identify it, and ask us to delete your account and data. We action verified requests within 30 days, and usually within a few business days. We may need to confirm you own the account before deleting it, because an unverified deletion request is itself a way to attack someone.
